Sunday: Journey begins at 9am when we depart from the Shannon Park Inn (across from the Shannon Airport).

[Please note that some flights arrive after 9am, and as such you will want to arrive the day before or find a different flight.] We travel to the Dunloe Hotel & Gardens resort with a stop for lunch in the village of Adare. That evening, we’ll gather for a group orientation dinner at the hotel.

Monday: A Dingle Day! Our first day trip is to the coastal town of Dingle. Here you will have the opportunity to traverse Slea Head, shop, and grab a bite to eat.

Tuesday: A Kenmare Day! The quaint village of Kenmare is home to an ancient stone circle, a healing well, a lace museum, and a variety of other historic attractions. You’ll have amble time to wander before we head over to Kissane Sheep Farm to watch a sheep herding demonstration. From there we’ll travel back to the hotel where our first mini-workshop will be held.

Wednesday: Workshop day! A morning workshop fill be followed with a group lunch at the beautiful Ard na Sidhe Country House. After lunch, we’ll return to the Dunloe where you can relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

Thursday: A Muckross Day! The beautiful grounds of the Muckross Estate are part of Killarney National Park. We’ll get there by jaunting cart (horse drawn cart). The grounds boast a mansion, three working farms, and exquisite gardens. Here you’ll have time to wander and explore; the more adventurous of you can trek to Torc Falls (about 1.5 miles from the estate).  There will be another optional knitting workshop after lunch.

Friday: A Killarney Day! Our morning will begin with another mini-workshop before we set out to explore the nearby town of Killarney. Shop, eat, and enjoy the town and the National Park grounds nearby.

Saturday: Last full day! We checkout of the Dunloe in the morning and head to Bunratty Folk Park. There you will find a castle ruin, reconstructed houses of various eras, beautiful gardens, and a fairy village. Grab a bite to eat there or at the nearby Durty Nelly’s Pub (established in 1620!). We’ll leave the village and head to the iconic Cliffs of Moher before checking into the Park Inn Hotel for our last night together.
